Shame Movement annuls decision on registration as required by Transparency Law, has new head

“Sircxvilia” (Shame) Movement annuls its decision to register in the National Agency of Public Registry per the requirement of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.

The movement wrote on the social network that it “accepted the society’s reaction and the criticism.”

“We regret that we did not adequately assess the outcomes that would follow our decision. We believe that our decision’s time, form and content was a mistake and we could better evaluate and prevent the risks.

Our decision was based on the aim to conduct planned campaigns to increase citizen participation in the elections to facilitate a change of government in the October elections. However, based on the feedback, we believe that we contributed to nihilism and disappointment among our associates, which harms both short-term and long-term objectives.

One of the reasons for our decision was that we thought it was fundamentally wrong to pay fines to the government before the elections, and we still share this opinion. Therefore, in case Sircxvilia is fined, we will not pay it.

Giorgi Mzhavanadze quits as Director and the movement continues to work with a new head. Thanks to out fellows for sincere criticism and advice,” the Movement wrote on Facebook.

From a video released on social networks by “Sircxvilia” Movement on August 30, it became known that the organization will register at the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) per the requirement of the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
