Several Ukrainian officials to be suspended following illegal border crossing by Mikheil Saakashvili
Ukraine suspended official capacities to several high-ranking officials following the state border crossing by ex-Georgian President and Head of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms in Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili, Ukrayinska Pravda reported, citing Speaker of the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko.
“The State Border Service is probing in the state border crossing-related circumstances. The fact how Saakashvili left Ukraine is being verified,” Demchenko said. He added that the information about Mikheil Saakashvili’s crossing the state border was confidential.
Mikheil Saakashvili was arrested on October 1 in Tbilisi and sent to Rustavi Prison.
