The session of Zugdidi District Election Commission was underway amid noise and confrontation. The member of the election commission from the National Movement party demanded the resignation of Miranda Meskhi from the post.
As the members of National Movement claim, Miranda Meskhi, the chairperson of the Commission, violated the law, and transferred the election documentation, seals and voter lists from the district to the polling station by breaking the law. As they say, this should become the basis for her resignation.
Miranda Meskhi raised this issue on the ballot, but most of the members of the commission did not support the National Movement’s demand.
