U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen says “The U.S. must take further action and impose Treasury sanctions on officials responsible for this crisis.”

“While I’m pleased to see additional visa restrictions on officials responsible for the current violence against protesters in Georgia, the U.S. must take further action and impose Treasury sanctions on officials responsible for this crisis. The Georgian people need our support,” Shaheen wrote on X.
