Security camera footage shows beginning of confrontation in Akhalkalaki (VIDEO)

Georgian First Channel has obtained the footage of a confrontation taken by the surveillance camera of one of the facilities located in Akhalkalaki.

The murder took place on August 8 in Akhalkalaki. A man under 30 was shot dead.

Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department detained A.G. (DoB 1983) for premeditated murder and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of a firearm.

The investigation established that A.G. on the basis of conflict inflicted lethal injury with a firearm to V.M. (DoB 1993). Due to the received injury, the victim died before he was transferred to the hospital.

Committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The situation in Akhalkalaki is stable at the moment. Maximum police forces are mobilized to take relevant preventive measures for ensuring public order and security on the ground, said the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Vladimer Bortsvadze.
