Secretary Blinken evaluates Armenian, Azeri FMs meeting as a positive step
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken echoes the meeting held in Tbilisi between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan and assesses it as a positive step.
“Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan took a positive step today, meeting in Tbilisi. Direct dialogue is the surest path to resolving Azerbaijani and Armenian differences,” Secretary Blinken wrote on Twitter.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in Georgia on July 16 for their first bilateral meeting since the 2020 conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
