Salome Zurabishvili – Return of Abkhazia will be possible through love, diplomacy and peaceful means

“We are the only protectors of Abkhazian language, culture and identity under the present difficult situation,” Salome Zurabishvili, an independent presidential candidate, stated during the meeting with voters in Zugdidi town of western Samegrelo region.

According to Zurabishvili, Abkhazians are losing identity and language as Russia’s presence in occupied Abkhazia becomes stronger.

“I, as President and guard of Constitution, will be obliged to protect Abkhazian language and I will do it with full energy and resources. The path leading to Abkhazians is opened. . . . The rerun will not take place by force but with love, diplomacy and peaceful means,” Zurabishvili stated.
