Georgia’s former president Mikheil Saakashvili’s health is stable. He received all the prescribed medications, therefore, the laboratory results improved, his life is not in danger, said Sandro Mateshvili, physician of No.18 prison hospital.
Mateishvili claimed the No.18 prison hospital is experienced in managing hunger-striking patients and also post-starvation rehabilitation.
Mikheil Saakashvili, who is on the 48th day of his hunger strike, has been taken to the No.18 prison infirmary on November 8.
The ex-president has been charged with several criminal offences. In 2018, he was sentenced to six years in prison in absentia for abuse of power.
