Ross Wilson: Georgia has long been a leader in human rights and democracy in the region and remains it
This is an annual report that the Secretary of State has a commitment to prepare. Secretary of State must submit a report on the human rights practices of nearly 200 countries. They follow a pattern of critical assessments of how countries protect the internationally recognized human rights,” – said Ross Wilson, acting US Ambassador to Georgia.
According to him, the report on Georgia is critical and it should be that way.
As strong friends of Georgia and its government, we are obliged to prepare a report on these issues.
“Georgia has long been a leader in human rights and democracy in the region and remains it. These are the issues on which we conduct an active dialogue with the authorities. We expect to continue our firm, friendly and fruitful dialogue on all issues that are important for the future of Georgia and the American people for who internationally recognized human rights are very important” – acting US ambassador said.
