Romanian FM: Adoption of Foreign Influence Law undermines Georgia's EU agenda

“The adoption of the law on Foreign Influence is undermining the EU agenda of Georgia,” Luminița  Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, told reporters in her doorstep remarks at the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.

“Georgia must be predictable and consistent with its European agenda and Romania fully supports the Georgian people’s European aspiration. We will continue our discussion because for us it’s very important to keep Georgia close to us. But, it is visible that the adoption of this law is undermining the European agenda. This is important to pass this message also to Georgian authorities. But for Romania, again, Georgia is a partner, we have to keep Georgia very close to the EU and continue our support for the population,” the Foreign Minister said.
