Restrictions to be imposed at cemeteries for 10 days

Starting April 17, within the framework of state of emergency, restrictions will be imposed at cemeteries in big cities during 10 days – Irakli Chikovani, Press Speaker of Prime Minister said.

Chikovani reported about the decision reached between the government and Patriarchate. Based on the decision, churches will not be closed on Easter celebration and solemn liturgy will be held with protection of law and adherence to recommendation of healthcare specialists.

Social distancing guidelines will have to be followed in large churches while the believers will have to stand in the yard in case of small churches. Crews of patrol police will be present at all acting churches.

Chikovani once again called on the population for observing the restrictions imposed within the framework of state of emergency across the country and for staying at home.
