3 people rescued after stranded on Gomi Mountain

Rescuers have found three citizens stranded on Gomi Mountain, the Guria region of Georgia on Friday.

All three of them have been experiencing hypothermia and will be hospitalized, Emergency Management Service said.

Earlier today, Georgia’s emergency service 112 received information that one person had died due to frost on Gomi Mountain, and three people accompanying him had been trapped.

The rescue operation lasted for 10 hours as the difficult meteorological conditions hindered the process.

Reportedly, four locals of Ozurgeti went hunting on Gomi Mountain on foot last night, but they got stuck in the snow.
