Republic Square to host screening of Georgia-Luxembourg match, traffic restrictions announced
On March 21, a large screen on Tbilisi Republic Square will broadcast the Georgia-Luxembourg match for fans to watch.
Additionally, various spaces for children and catering facilities will be available on-site.
The First Republic Square will have temporary traffic restrictions until 07:00, March 22.
The restriction will be in place on the road section from the intersection of Rustaveli Avenue and First Republic Square to the intersection of First Republic Square and Merab Kostava Street.
During this period, cars travelling from Rustaveli Avenue to Kostava Street will only be able to proceed towards Mikheil Javakhishvili and Merab Kostava Streets. Cars driving on Javakhishvili Street will be directed towards Tbilisi State Concert Hall, while those from Kostava Street can only move towards Rustaveli Avenue and Liberty Square.
Regarding public transport, the N359 bus will follow its regular route from Javakhishvili Street to Kostava Street towards Vake. The N457 minibus will travel from Javakhishvili Street to Revaz Tabukashvili Street, then proceed to Rustaveli Avenue via Revaz Laghidze Street and continue on its scheduled route towards Besiki Street.
The Georgian national team will face Luxembourg in the semi-final match of the Euro 2024 qualifying stage today. The match will be held at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, kicking off at 9:00 p.m. The GPB First Channel, Radio of Georgia (FM 102.3), and 1TVPLAY will broadcast the match live.
