Representatives of four political unions address Georgian Health Ministry

Representatives of the four political unions – Unity-National Movement member Sopho Japaridze, Gakharia for Georgia member Kati Bakaradze, Coalition for Change member Ani Kavtaradze, and Strong Georgia member Vato Surguladze – held a briefing on Sunday, stating that “We face a complete collapse of the state.”

They called on the Georgian Ministry of Health to find out what chemicals and gases the Ministry of Internal Affairs employs.

Below are their remarks in quotes:

Sopho Japaridze: “Ivanishvili’s criminal gang attacked and physically assaulted TV Pirveli film crew, Maka Chikhladze, an investigative journalist and the cameraman Georgi Shetsiruli. We condemn this unprecedented violence and urge the people to stand together, we should not back down.”

Ani Kavtaradze: “I would like to address so-called the Ministry of Health, the National Center for Disease Control and the Emergency Response Service. You must react and request information on toxic substances that are constantly using the regimen. None of the living plants are left near the parliament building, and now there is a Christmas tree [being erected in front of the parliament] where children are invited. You must disseminate information about those substances.”

Katie Bakaradze: “Unfortunately, we do not have accurate information, on exactly what kind of substances are our citizens intoxicated. Citizens are visiting the hospitals but are unaware that they are intoxicated. Furthermore, the long-term impact of these injuries on youth remains unknown. Many times, essential organs are injured.”

Vato Surguladze: “I’m referring to the Ministry of Health. I addressed a letter to you as a city council member, but have not received a response yet. Do you have any knowledge of the toxic compounds and gases used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs? Are you certain that when children go to visit the Christmas tree in front of Parliament, they will not be harmed?”
