Regular flights will resume from February 1, said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, after the Interagency Coordination Council meeting.
According to the Minister of Economy, all air companies operating in Georgia will have an opportunity to plan and carry out regular flights following safety rules and medical protocol.
Natia Turnava further informed that discussions were ongoing about easing the entry rules for foreign visitors.
She said that a meeting to prepare for hosting tourists in spring would take place in the nearest future with tourist companies.
Turnava said that Covid vaccination was gaining momentum all around the world, including in the European countries. “We will discuss how to use the new circumstance for the benefit of the country,” she claimed.
