Reeker's appointment as Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations shows US places importance on Georgia in GID
Ambassador Philip Reeker’s appointment as Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations reaffirms the importance that the United States places in the Geneva International Discussions on Georgia, reads the statement of Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
According to the US Department of State, in this capacity, Ambassador Reeker will serve as US OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair and lead negotiator for the US delegation to the Geneva International Discussions during this critical period.
“Ambassador Reeker’s appointment at this time reaffirms the importance that the United States places in the Geneva International Discussions on Georgia,” Blinken said in the statement.
Ambassador Reeker brings extensive experience in Europe and international organizations. He served most recently at the Embassy of the United States of America in the United Kingdom as Chargé d’affaires to the Court of St. James’.
