Rada Speaker commends counterparts for solidarity visits to Ukraine
Ukrainian Rada Speaker Ruslan Stepanchuk expressed gratitude to the chairs of foreign parliaments, who paid a solidarity visit to Ukraine.
“Ukraine is fighting on several fronts, and the parliament is not an exception. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is actively working in parliamentary diplomacy to secure the support of lawmakers from all over the world and call them for actions. Due to this effort, parliament speakers of Poland, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, and Romania visited Ukraine to express their support and solidarity.
The Ukrainian parliament is grateful to those who stand with Ukraine. I call on MPs globally to visit Ukraine and join their strengths in the fight against Russia,” Stepanchuk wrote on Facebook.
Members of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, headed by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, visited the war-hit Ukrainian cities of Bucha and Irpin, together with Verkhovna Rada Chair Ruslan Stepanchuk on April 16.
