Applying to the members of so called Criminal World to be punishable

According to Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Natia Mezvrishvili, the Ministry has prepared a legislative package according to which the circle of punishable persons for the crimes in connecting with so called Criminal World will be expanded.

As Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs noted at the briefing held today, according to legislative amendments the activities such as supporting criminal world, organizing criminal world meetings and applying to the members of criminal world will be criminalized as well as punishment for the membership of the criminal world and being so-called ‘thief-in-law’ will be stricter.
