Public Discussion Commission to consider draft-bill on Georgian State Symbols

Georgian state flag, heraldic emblem and the national anthem will be united under one organic law.

An 8-member Public Discussion Commission is established to organize general discussions. The order of the parliament was published in Legislative Messenger on July and is already activated.

Authors of the draft-bill of the organic law and its initiators are members of the parliament Giorgi Kakhiani and Guram Macharashvili.

The organic law will define description of the state flag and heraldic emblem as well text and music of national anthem. The draft-bill will also determine exact size of the flag.
