The medical council, set up by Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, is visiting the Gori Military Hospital on Sunday to examine Georgia’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili.
Before visiting Saakashvili, Lomjaria briefed reporters, saying the group of experts also will get acquainted with medical records and then write the report and recommendations.
Neurologist Otar Toidze added that “Saakashvili was taking a drug he should not have taken. That drug, prescribed in the Rustavi Prison, worsened his condition.”
