Public Defender: The Clause Of The Right To Life Has Created

According to the Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, the clause of the right to life has created in the latest report. This change is based on Temirlan Machalikashvili`s case.

As Nino Lomjaria said at the presentation of the report, the Public Defender has recommendations for the State Security Service of Georgia and the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia.

“Unlike the previous report, in this year’s report the right to life has appeared. Temirlan Machalikashvili`s murder caused this particular change in the 2017 report.

We have specific recommendations for the State Security Service of Georgia and the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia. There should be done effective and impartial investigation to determine if the authority or power of some law enforcers had been exposed.

At this stage, I cannot make conclusions on this issue until the results of investigation are not known, “- said Nino Lomjaria.
