Protesters moved to Police department, where Armenian protest leaders are kept

Protesters have gathered in front of the Police department, where the detained Armenian protest leaders are kept.

As the First Channel journalist reported from the site, the protesters are demanding release of the detainees. Law enforcers are mobilized at the site.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia released information about the detention of three opposition MPs.

According to the statement of the Prosecutor’s Office, Nikol Pashinian, Ararat Mirzoyan  and Sasun Mikaelyan have been detained by Special Investigation Service. They are accused of violating the provisions of Article 96 of the second part of the Constitution of Armenia. The statement says that they had organized unsanctioned rallies.

192 people were detained in Yerevan protest actions as of 3 pm Sunday, Armenian police said in a statement.
