About 10,000 people are protesting against the change of border with Chechnya in the Ingush capital of Magas.
Ingushetian National Assembly deputies discussed the agreement with Chechnya and ratified it. Before the decision was made, there was a clash between demonstrators and law enforcers gathered outside the parliament building.
The police shot in the air at the rally outside the parliament in Magas. Protesters demand cancellation of the document signed by President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-bek Yevkurov and Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov.
The Constitutional Court of Ingushetia ruled earlier that the agreement should be put up to a vote at a referendum.
