Prosecutor's Office will demand bail for Azer Suleimanov

Prosecutor’s Office will demand bail for the member of the United National Movement MP Azer Suleimanov as a preventive measure, – Jarji Tsiklauri, the Deputy Chief of the investigative department of Chief Prosecutor’s Office made the regarding statement at the Rustavi Prosecutor’s Office.

According to Tsiklauri, Suleimanov is accused in less grave crime, violence under the Article 126 which envisages up to two years of imprisonment. He added that parliamentary immunity protects him from detention, imprisonment or other compulsion measures.

“On the charge of inhuman and degrading treatment of a Marneuli resident, Prosecutor’s Office and Interior Ministry staff detained Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov.

On the fact of physical insult of the same citizen, Criminal prosecution has been launched against the member of the United National Movement MP Azer Suleimanivi, the member of City Council of Marneuli from Georgian Dream party Ramin Alakhverdievi and the relative of Marneuli Mayor E.G.”, – Jarji Tsiklauri said.

Studio Monitor released a reportage, which shows that the man, who verbally insulted Bidzina Ivanishvili and Marneuli Mayor at the rally outside the parliament, became a victim of inhuman and degrading treatment.

Prosecutor’s Office launched investigation on the fact of inhuman and degrading treatment carried out by a group. Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov has been arrested.
