Prosecutor's Office expresses readiness to cooperate with Public Defender within investigation of Giorgi Shakarashvili's case

The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia expresses its readiness to cooperate with the Public Defender in the framework of the investigation of Giorgi Shakarashvili’s case, – the statement issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office states.

“The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia expresses its readiness to cooperate with the Public Defender at any stage within the framework of the investigation of Giorgi Shakarashvili’s case. In this regard, the representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office have already had communication with the Public Defender’s Office. Representatives of the ombudsman’s office will be given the opportunity to get access to the case materials of the criminal case,” – the prosecutor’s office said.

The Public Defender’s Office addressed the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia to get access to the case materials in order to study the efficiency of the investigation.
