Prosecutor’s Office discontinued the criminal proceedings against the members of Birja Mafia
Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has discontinued the criminal proceedings against two members of Birja Mafia music band, who were charged for purchase and storage of narcotic substances in especially large volumes.
“At the same time, Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia is conducting investigation into the facts of exceeding official powers by violence against G.K. and M.M., and fabrication of evidence in the criminal case of particularly serious crime, both committed by the certain officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The said crimes are punishable under Article 3691§3 and Article 333§3(b) of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The public will further be informed about the outcomes of the investigation”, – the statement released by the investigative agency reads.
The members of Birja Mafia musical band Giorgi Keburia and Mikheil Mgaloblishvili were arrested on June 7 and later were released on bail.
