Prosecutor’s Office detains three people on charge of inhuman treatment of prisoners
Georgia’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office, through investigative activities, detained three people on charge of inhuman treatment of prisoners committed before 2012.
Prosecutor’s Office reported that the three people are former Director of Rustavi #6 Penitentiary Facility, former Deputy Director of Rustavi #6 Prison and former head of Legal Regime Department of the same facility.
The charge envisages from 4 to 6 years in prison. Georgia’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office is probing into 27 criminal cases based on the decision of European Court of Human Rights.
