Program for medication of patients with oncology diseases to be expanded
Accessibility to health services remains problematic in the country. The Georgian government will expand the program for medication of patients with oncology diseases – Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said during the sitting of Cabinet of Ministers.
Based on the initiative of Health Ministry, the government will allocate additional 8 thousand GEL for medical treatment of every patient with oncology disease.
“Such patients will be able to undergo full course of the medical treatment without paying from their pocket,” Gakharia said.
According to PM, a total of 1 972 people use the program and the new initiative will serve as important support to them.
