Prime Minister lays wreath at Memorial of Heroes

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, in relation to the day of the fall of Sokhumi, visited the Memorial of the Heroes Fallen in the Fight for Georgia’s Unity and laid a wreath.

Also today, the Prime Minister, together with Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, unveiled the bust of Georgia’s national hero Zhiuli Shartava in the territory of the Memorial.

The Prime Minister visited the Memorial of the Heroes in the company of the Parliament Speaker, the Tbilisi Mayor, and the Cabinet’s members.

Today, Georgia commemorates the 29th anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi on September 27, 1993.
