Press Center of Azerbaijani Border Guards releases information about incident at border

The Press Center of Azerbaijani State Border Department released the information about an incident at Georgia’s border.

According to the Azerbaijani State Border Department, the shepherd was seen on the territory of Azerbaijan with the sheep. Reportedly, the shepherd’s about 10 dogs attacked the border guards.

“The border guards fired in the air, then towards the dogs. The border guards found the shepherd lying on the ground. He was wounded in his head area. The man was transferred to the nearest medical institution and his health condition is now satisfactory. The shepherd’s identity is determined. He is a Georgian citizen, born in 1993, a local of Lambalo village, Sagarejo district of Kakheti region,” reads the information.

Lieutenant Asgar Khalilov of Azerbaijani State Border Department arrived at site and met with Georgian border guards. An investigation into the case is led by Azerbaijan’s State Border and Military Prosecutor’s Office.
