President Zourabichvili acknowledged the work of journalists from Radio Liberty, explaining that she could not present them with awards due to their ethical guidelines but expressed her gratitude for their efforts.

“I cannot award the journalists of Radio Liberty because their ethical rules do not allow it, but I would like to thank them,” the president said.

Zourabichvili emphasized the essential role of the media, describing it as the “window through which we see what is happening.”

“I deeply appreciate your work, though you do not seek gratitude. You act out of a profound sense of professional obligation. Tomorrow, you may face even greater pressure if the current situation persists, as you are the window through which we witness events unfold. Without you, those unable to attend demonstrations or even those at different locations would not know what is happening. Your presence ensures that the nation remains informed and united against injustice. Today, tomorrow, and always, your dedication is invaluable, and I honour you for it,” Zourabichvili stated.
