President Zourabichvili: Georgia keeps forward on European integration path
“Russian occupation could not swerve Georgia from its European integration path. We continue to move forward,” said Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili during a joint briefing following the face to face meeting with President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic.
According to President Zourabichvili, Georgia needs political support and sharing experience of all partners. Montenegro is a good example as this country became a member of the North-Atlantic Council in 2017.
The President explained that Georgia plans to apply for EU membership in 2024 officially. “It is crucial for us today and now to share this particular experience to take steps to achieve the goal that is our common and great national objective,” President Zourabichvili stated.
President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic arrived in Georgia for an official visit for the first time in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
