President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili welcomed the delivery of 43,200 AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccines in Georgia.
“This is what “light at the end of the tunnel” looks like! Thank you to our international partners who made this possible. We still have a long road ahead but the world is stronger together and will overcome this crisis through solidarity,” President Tweeted.
The first batch of 43,200 shots of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Georgia through the Covax platform on Saturday. Georgia will receive 129,600 doses from AstraZeneca. The delivery of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is expected later in March.
