President vows to stand on guard for independence, national identity, democracy, European future
“As before, and on each stage of my presidency, my role will remain unchanged: I will stand on guard to independence, national identity, democracy and European future. I categorically object to all attempts to return to the Soviet past and sabotaging European opportunities,” said Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili in her annual report.
According to the President, the future of Georgia has no other alternative but Europe. Georgia’s European future is the will of the Georgian people.
She called on voters, especially youngsters, to vote in the elections, saying their “involvement will be decisive in the country’s “brilliant future, new ruling model, economy and European state.”
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili delivered her last annual report to the Parliament on February 6. Candidates for the posts of PM and ministers, representatives of the Georgian Orthodox Church and Diplomatic Corps are attending the president’s annual report in the parliament.
