President: There are ways to punish gov't, not Georgian army

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili stated on Monday, “There are several ways in which this government could and should be punished, but the Georgian army, serving as the foundation of our state and defence, should not fall under the punishment; especially when it is completely created by America.”

Zurabishvili emphasised during today’s news conference that “the Georgian army has complete faith in the populace and should not be penalised.”

“I don’t understand our army’s financial limits. I will definitely find it out. It is obvious that the exercises are delayed until the election when everything is clear; certain indications may be issued, but they should not apply to the army,” the President added.
