President: Terror unfolding in Georgia, arbitrary arrests started

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has raised alarms over what she described as “terror unfolding” in the country, citing the arbitrary arrests of individuals participating in rallies.

“Protests in Georgia, Terror is happening. Arbitrary arrests have begun. Public figures, artists, musicians, singers, and politicians are being detained for no other reason than their involvement in rallies. They face terrorism charges with a potential sentence of up to nine years,” Zourabichvili wrote.
