President signs decree declaring October 26 as date for parliamentary elections
Georgian President, Salome Zourabichvili, on Thursday, signed a decree declaring October 26 as the date for the 2024 parliamentary elections.
“The day of decision, choice, and salvation is near. Today, we are not dealing with ordinary elections in which citizens vote for the political party that best represents their viewpoint, but with protecting the country’s destiny. Our current decision is existential, and it will define the country’s fate for many years,” the President stated.
