President takes bias and pressure-free decision on pardon personally based on case review, presidential administration said in a statement.
The statement denied fake news on the President’s discrete rights and reiterated that no pressure or recommendations could influence President’s decision.
“The decision is the President’s responsibility and is not shared by either her advisor or any employee in the administration. It is obvious that the released disinformation has no link with the use of this discrete right and aims at discrediting the President,” it said.
The presidential administration also clarified that no information on the presidential pardon list would be available in advance, and neither promises to pardon.
