President of Slovakia: Vast public support for EU and its values in Georgia deserves respect

“The vast public support in Georgia for the European Union and its values deserves to be respected,” said Zuzana Čaputová, President of Slovakia.

“Slovakia is a friend of Georgia and its people, supporting their EU aspirations. The enactment of the law on foreign influence goes against these very aspirations. The vast public support in Georgia for the European Union and its values deserves to be respected,” she wrote on the X Platform.

The Georgian Parliament overrode President Salome Zourabichvili’s veto on the Transparency of Foreign Influence law on May 28.
