President issues decree appointing Irakli Kobakhidze as Prime Minister
President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday issued a decree appointing PMe as Prime Minister “to avoid obstacles in fighting the disaster and to duly issue necessary measures,” the President’s Office announced.
Earlier today, Irakli Kobakhidze and his new Cabinet have won a confidence vote in parliament.
Eighty-four legislators backed Kobakhidze and the new government while ten voted against them in Thursday’s vote.
