President: I will not announce results ahead; as European and decent Georgian, I will wait for official outcomes

“I will not announce the results ahead of time. As a proud Georgian and European, I will wait for the official outcomes,” stated Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.

She emphasized that the response to psychological pressure is self-confidence.

Zourabichviliurged those who have yet to vote to hurry and take part in this historic event.

“To those who may be concerned by the statements from the majority, which are very undemocratic and un-European in declaring victory prematurely, I say: do not be afraid. This is psychological pressure. The answer to such pressure is self-confidence, participating in the elections, and awaiting the results. I will not create a scene or announce results in advance. As a European and a decent Georgian, I will wait for the results. When the time comes, we will all know the outcomes together. Don’t be afraid, don’t believe the unfounded claims; let’s await the results that promise a better future for our country,” concluded Salome Zourabichvili.
