Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy in Yerevan and condoled to the families of victims.
“We are deeply saddened by the shocking explosion in Yerevan. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Also, we wish courage and endurance to emergency workers. I stand by the Armenian people,” the president wrote.
The August 14 fireworks warehouse blast in Yerevan, Armenia, killed 16 people, 12 injured are still in hospital. Eighteen people remain missing after blasts ripped through the market.
