Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili congratulated the Jewish people on Pesach (Passover), celebrated from April 5 to April 13 this year.
“I congratulate our fellow Jewish citizens and all Jews on Passover. This holiday of love for freedom, faithfulness and gratitude, fairness and protection of the Lord is symbolic for all nations, which defeated tyranny and continue to struggle against it,” the President said.
Passover is celebrated by Jews every year, commemorating the Biblical story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt.
