President awards Sapari Union Director with Order of Dignity

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili awarded Babutsa Pataraia, Director of Sapari Union with an Order of Dignity.

Babutsa Pataraia published a video of the awarding ceremony on Facebook which says that she received the award for “special merit in the fight against gender-based violence and contribution to the establishment of a non-violent environment.”

Sapari Union is a Tbilisi-based women’s rights organization striving to create an equal, non-discriminatory environment for women in Georgia.
