Preparations for Eastern Partnership Summit – messages from Brussels
The text, which is much anticipated in Georgia, is almost agreed in Brussels, Belgium. Consultations are ongoing in the European Parliament about the draft-project of a declaration that is due to be adopted at the Eastern Partnership Summit on November 24. Preliminary signals and messages concerning future of the countries involved in the program sound highly positive.
Members of European Parliament call on the organization for active cooperation with eastern partners. Dimitris Papadimoulis, Vice-President of the European Parliament says that EU should show Georgia real perspective of membership.
Mikheil Janelidze, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs is holding meetings in the European Parliament. He is planned to give a speech before Foreign Relations Committee on October 19. Janelidze will talk about preparations for Eastern Partnership Summit.
