Vazha Siradze, Head of the Patrol Police said that police crews are mobilized at the Court of Appeals to ensure public order.

“It is a court building, proceedings are underway and the police will be there not to admit escalation of the situation and to ensure that the proceedings are held peacefully,” he said.

According to Vazha Siradze, blocking the court or other strategic buildings is prohibited by law. He called on protesters not to violate the law.

The head of the Patrol Police added that Marshal Gelovani Road is narrow and the police decided to close it “to make the movement possible.”
