Police apprehend babysitter for physically abusing 2-year-old toddler

The officers of Juvenile Affairs Main Division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained L.L. (DoB 1973) in Tbilisi for violence committed against an under-aged person.

“An investigation established that L.L. was employed in one of the families as a babysitter, where she was taking care of 5 children along with two other babysitters. L.L. has been physically assaulting 2-year-old toddler on a regular basis. Relevant video footage, depicting the fact of violence was provided by two other babysitters – Sh.D. and I.B. on which police made the immediate response and took L.L. under arrest,” said MIA.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of violence committed against an under-aged person, article 126 I1 sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

Committed crime envisages up to 2 years of imprisonment.
