PM – We should understand that hardest 6 months are ahead

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia addressed members of the parliament with a summarizing speech and described today’s discussions as interested. PM thanked Georgian citizens for support, wisdom and justice.

“We only beat the first wave and we should realize that the global pandemic, with its influence on economy, reached families of every citizen. Many people experienced difficulties,” PM said but claimed that the government would do its best to support every person in need.

According to Gakharia, the hardest 6 months are ahead. However, “we still hope that we will defeat all difficulties together and gain victory over all problems,” PM said.

Gakharia said that Georgia had not yet defeated the virus and Georgia has to restore economy. “These 6 months will be the hardest ones with respect to healthcare, epidemiology, struggle against the pandemic as well as struggle against economic problems and making efforts for revival of economy. And we should not forget that these are 6 months when we have to hold exemplary elections in the country,” Gakharia concluded.
