Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that “Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and the radical opposition sided with LGBT propaganda.”
The Prime Minister said in his statement: “When you can’t stand where the majority of the society stands, it means that you act only per orders rather than the interests of your own people.”
“Amid the election period, everyone is fully aware that more than 90% of the population supports this legislation [Anti-LGBT Propaganda Bill]. A recent survey revealed 92% support. Everyone understands this. When you are unable to stand on the side where the mass of society stands, it signifies that you operate just per the orders rather than the interests of your own people,” Kobakhidze remarked.
