On Sunday, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressed a pre-election meeting in Akhaltsikhe, stating that ‘Those putting an equal mark between authoritarianism and Europe, murdering people and Europe, torture and Europe, prisoners and Europe, business racket and Europe, seizing television and Europe, war and Europe, the collective United National Movement (UNM) and Europe, have nothing to do with true European values.”
According to Kobakhidze, “the radical opposition and its protectors say that only the UNM’s return to power, in the form of parties by Saakashvili, Gvaramia, Khazaradze and Gakharia, could bring Georgia’s European future.”
“These individuals’s sole objective is to carry out external tasks, cause unrest in Georgia, turn Georgia into a second front, and return people to the dark past. This is something that Georgian society would never allow.
On October 26, the society will appropriately respond to the War Party. On October 26, peace, dignity, and prosperity will triumph,” Irakli Kobakhidze remarked.
